Cloud Storage Integration

Import files from Dropbox and Google Drive directly into any PDF tool.

Overview

PDF Hub can import files directly from your Dropbox or Google Drive account. When enabled, cloud storage buttons appear alongside the file upload area on every tool page. This lets you process files without downloading them to your computer first.

Info
Cloud storage buttons are enabled by default. You can turn them on or off in your Preferences if you are a registered user.

Using Dropbox

To import a file from Dropbox:

  1. Navigate to any PDF tool page (e.g., Merge PDFs, Convert Word to PDF).
  2. In the file upload area, click the Dropbox button (the Dropbox logo).
  3. A Dropbox file chooser window will open. Sign in to your Dropbox account if prompted.
  4. Browse or search for the file you want to import.
  5. Select the file and click Choose.
  6. The file will be downloaded and loaded into the tool automatically.
Tip
The Dropbox chooser only shows files matching the type the tool accepts. For example, on the Word to PDF page, only .doc and .docx files are shown.

Using Google Drive

To import a file from Google Drive:

  1. Navigate to any PDF tool page.
  2. In the file upload area, click the Google Drive button.
  3. A Google account picker will appear. Select or sign in to your Google account.
  4. Grant read-only access to your Google Drive when prompted (this is a one-time step).
  5. The Google Picker will open showing your Drive files, filtered to compatible types.
  6. Select a file and click Select.
  7. The file will be downloaded and loaded into the tool automatically.
Note
PDF Hub requests read-only access to your Google Drive. It cannot modify or delete any of your files. The access token is used only to download the selected file.

Enabling / Disabling

If you prefer not to see cloud storage buttons on tool pages, you can disable them individually:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Open the account menu (top-right) and click Preferences.
  3. Under the Dropbox or Google Drive cards, uncheck the toggle.
  4. Click Save Preferences.

The buttons will be hidden on all tool pages immediately. You can re-enable them at any time by returning to Preferences.

Info
If your administrator has disabled cloud storage site-wide, the buttons will not appear regardless of your personal preference. Contact your administrator if you need access.
