Scan to PDF

Capture documents with your camera and convert them to a searchable PDF.

Overview

The Scan to PDF tool lets you digitize physical documents using your device's camera or by uploading photos. Multiple images are combined into a single multi-page PDF, with optional OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to make the text searchable and selectable.

How to Use

Navigate to Scan to PDF from the Convert menu.
Click Use Camera to capture pages directly, or Upload Images to select existing photos.
Capture or upload as many pages as needed. Each image becomes one page in the PDF.
Drag thumbnails to reorder pages. Click the X on a thumbnail to remove it.
Optionally enable Apply OCR to make the scanned text searchable.
Adjust page size, orientation, and margin settings as needed.
Click Create PDF to process.
Download the result when processing completes.

Options

Option	Values	Description
Page Size	A4, Letter, A5, Half Letter, Same as Image	Sets the dimensions of each PDF page.
Orientation	Portrait, Landscape	Page orientation for the output PDF.
Margin Size	Large, Small, None	Whitespace around the image on each page.
Apply OCR	On / Off	Runs OCR on the final PDF so text can be searched and copied. Takes longer to process.

Camera Support

Mobile devices: Tapping "Use Camera" opens your native camera app for the best photo quality and autofocus.
Desktop/laptop: A live camera viewfinder appears in the browser. Click the capture button to snap each page.
You can mix camera captures and uploaded images in the same document.

Tips & Notes

Tip

Place documents on a dark, contrasting surface and ensure even lighting for the clearest scans.

Tip

Hold your camera directly above the document (not at an angle) to minimize perspective distortion.

Note

OCR currently supports English text. Processing time increases with more pages when OCR is enabled.
