Remove password protection from a PDF document.
Overview
The Unlock PDF tool removes password protection from a PDF file. If a PDF is secured with a password that restricts opening, printing, copying, or editing, this tool can remove those restrictions — provided you know the correct password.

You must know the document's password to unlock it. This tool cannot bypass or crack unknown passwords.

How to Use
- Navigate to Unlock PDF from the Secure & Optimize menu.
- Upload your password-protected PDF using drag-and-drop, Browse Files, or cloud storage (Dropbox / Google Drive).
- Enter the document password in the Password field.
- Optionally change the output file name.
- Click Unlock PDF to process.
- Download the unlocked PDF when processing completes.

Tips & Notes
Tip
If a PDF only has permission restrictions (e.g., no printing allowed) but no open password,
you can use the owner password to unlock it and remove all restrictions.
Warning
The unlocked PDF will have all password protection and permission restrictions removed.
Anyone with the file will be able to open, print, copy, and edit it.
