Document History

View and manage your previously processed PDF files.

Overview

The Document History page provides a complete record of PDF operations you have performed. From here you can review past jobs, re-download output files, and manage file retention. This feature is only available to registered, signed-in users.

Viewing History

Access your document history by clicking your profile icon and selecting Document History, or from the account menu. The history list shows:

  • File name — the original name of the uploaded document
  • Operation — the PDF tool that was used (e.g., Merge, Convert to Word, Compress)
  • Date and time — when the operation was performed
  • Status — whether the job completed successfully, failed, or is still in progress
  • Output file — a download link for the result (if still available)

The list is sorted by date with the most recent operations at the top. You can scroll through your history or use filtering to find a specific job.

Downloading Results

If the output file is still available on the server, a Download button appears next to the entry. Click it to download the processed file to your device.

Info

File availability depends on your file retention preference. If you selected Delete after download, the file will no longer be available after the first download.

File Retention & Automatic Cleanup

How long files remain available is determined by your retention preference:

Retention SettingBehaviour
Delete after downloadFiles are removed immediately after the first download. The history entry remains but without a download link.
Keep for 30 minutesFiles are available for 30 minutes after processing, then automatically deleted.
Keep for 24 hoursFiles are available for 24 hours after processing, then automatically deleted.
Keep for maximum allowedFiles remain available for the maximum period allowed by your subscription tier: 24 hours for free accounts, or 7 days for Super User and Developer accounts.
Warning

Regardless of your personal preference, the system enforces a maximum retention period based on your subscription tier: 24 hours for free accounts, or 7 days for Super User and Developer accounts.

Deleting Files

To manually remove a file from your history:

  1. Locate the entry in your document history.
  2. Click the Delete button next to the entry.
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Deleting an entry removes both the history record and the output file from the server. This action cannot be undone.
