Add Watermark
Apply text or image watermarks to PDF pages.
Overview
The Add Watermark tool places a text or image watermark on one or more pages of a PDF document. Common uses include marking documents as "Draft", "Confidential", or "Sample", or applying a company logo. Watermarks can be placed in front of or behind the page content with adjustable opacity.
How to Use
- Navigate to Add Watermark from the Editing menu.
- Upload your file using drag-and-drop, Browse Files, or cloud storage (Dropbox / Google Drive).
- Choose between a text watermark or an image watermark.
- Configure the watermark appearance (text, font, size, colour, opacity, position, rotation).
- Click Apply Watermark to process.
- Download the result when processing completes.
Options

| Text | The watermark text (for text watermarks). |
| Font & size | Choose the font family and size for text watermarks. |
| Colour | Set the text colour. |
| Opacity | Control transparency from 0% (invisible) to 100% (fully opaque). |
| Rotation | Angle of the watermark in degrees (e.g., 45° for diagonal). |
| Position | Place the watermark at the centre, corners, or edges of the page. |
| Layer | Place the watermark in front of or behind the page content. |
| Page range | Apply to all pages or a specific range. |
Tips & Notes
For "Confidential" or "Draft" stamps, a diagonal text watermark at 30–50% opacity placed behind the content is the most common approach. This keeps the content readable while clearly marking the document.
Watermarks added this way are part of the page content and cannot be easily removed by recipients. For removable annotations, use Edit PDF instead.
