Compare PDFs
Visually compare two PDF documents to identify differences.
Overview
The Compare PDFs tool analyses two PDF documents side by side and highlights the differences between them. Changes in text, images, and layout are visually marked, making it easy to review revisions, verify edits, or audit document changes. The output is a comparison report showing additions, deletions, and modifications.
How to Use
- Navigate to Compare PDFs from the Editing menu.
- Upload the original (baseline) PDF file.
- Upload the revised (comparison) PDF file.
- Click Compare to process.
- Download the result when processing completes.
Options
The comparison is performed automatically. Differences are highlighted using colour-coded annotations: additions in green, deletions in red, and modifications in yellow.
Tips & Notes
For the most accurate comparison, ensure both documents have the same page count and structure. Comparing documents with significantly different layouts may produce noisy results.
The comparison is visual and text-based. Minor differences in font rendering or anti-aliasing between PDF generators are typically ignored.
