Convert to PDF/X
Convert PDFs to the PDF/X standard for reliable print production.
Overview
The Convert to PDF/X tool converts standard PDF files into PDF/X-compliant documents. PDF/X is an ISO standard (ISO 15930) designed for the graphic arts and print production industry. It ensures reliable, predictable output by requiring embedded fonts, correct colour management, and the absence of features that could cause printing issues.
How to Use
- Navigate to Convert to PDF/X from the Conversion menu.
- Upload your file using drag-and-drop, Browse Files, or cloud storage (Dropbox / Google Drive).
- Select the desired PDF/X conformance level.
- Click Convert to process.
- Download the result when processing completes.
Options

| Conformance level | Choose the PDF/X version: PDF/X-1a, PDF/X-3, or PDF/X-4. PDF/X-1a requires CMYK only; PDF/X-4 supports transparency and ICC-based colour. |
Tips & Notes
Check with your print provider which PDF/X version they require. PDF/X-4 is the most modern and supports the widest range of features including live transparency and layers.
RGB images may be converted to CMYK during PDF/X-1a conversion. Use Convert PDF Colors beforehand if you need precise control over colour space conversion.
