Document Open Options
Control how a PDF appears when first opened in a viewer.
Overview
The Document Open Options tool configures the initial view settings of a PDF document. You can control which page is displayed first, the zoom level, whether the bookmarks panel is visible, and whether the document opens in full-screen mode. These settings ensure a consistent viewing experience for all recipients.
How to Use
- Navigate to Document Open Options from the Editing menu.
- Upload your file using drag-and-drop, Browse Files, or cloud storage (Dropbox / Google Drive).
- Configure the desired initial view settings.
- Click Save to process.
- Download the result when processing completes.
Options
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Initial page | The page number displayed when the document is opened. |
| Zoom level | Set the initial zoom: Fit Page, Fit Width, Actual Size, or a specific percentage. |
| Page layout | Single Page, Continuous, Two-Up, or Two-Up Continuous. |
| Navigation panel | Show bookmarks panel, thumbnails panel, or no panel on open. |
| Full screen | Open the document in full-screen presentation mode. |
Tips & Notes
Tip
For presentations, set the document to open in full-screen mode with Fit Page zoom. For long reports, open with the bookmarks panel visible and Fit Width zoom.
Note
These settings are recommendations to the PDF viewer. Some viewers may not honour all open options.
